About time for an update

Merry Christmas (almost) to all! It has been a while since we posted an update.. what better time than now. All continues to be going well in the world of Baby Brown. At our last check-up, we continued to hear a strong heartbeat. And, if Carrie's belly is any indication of progress, Baby Brown seems to be growing. Though many people are still looking to see "the bump", Tim and Carrie can defintely see that Baby is growing!

Be sure to check in some time after January 15th, when we hope to have some more ultrasound pictures. And, if all goes well, we'll be able to let you know if it is Baby Girl Brown or Baby Boy Brown!

A Pictoral Debute of Baby Brown

Okay, so we told you that pictures would be coming further down the road... Well, we ended up getting an ultrasound sooner than anticipated. There was some concern with spotting this past week. Since it was still happening by the end of the week, the doctors thought it would be best to get an ultrasound done, just to make sure everything is ok. We're happy to report that everything is fine. In fact, we were told that Baby Brown is measuring 3 inches long (which puts us at 13 weeks, not 12). We recieved about 8 different snap shots. Here are just a few:

Heartbeat

Well today was the next of many milestone days for our growing family. We had our 2nd doctors visit, which is really the first official exam. We are happy to report that all seems to be doing well in baby's little world. When we first tried to listen to the heart beat, the little wouldn't cooperate (not unlike either Mommy or Daddy, at times). However, after the exam we tried again and this is what we heard:

We still have several weeks to go before Baby Brown makes a pictoral debut... probably some time in January.

Baby Brown's first "outfit"

So, with today being Halloween, there has been lots of talk about "baby's first Halloween"... that is, in 2007. Well, Mom (Brown), Dave, and Joan couldn't wait until then to get prepared for that moment. They just couldn't resist... They had to get the cute little bumble bee costume they came across at Target. (see below)

We know you will be greatly anticipating the debute of Baby Brown Bumble Bee next October!!!

The first Drs visit

October 10, 2006
We had our first of many doctors visits that day. We recieved lots of information about the process and procedures of the doctors office as well as the "dos and donts" of pregnancy. Then, Carrie's favorite part... blood work. Someone needs to make that blood lab a more cheerful place to work... those people were not very pleasent.

We're Expecting!

September 18, 2003 was the first day of our big news!!!!
We're pregnant! Below is our first evidence of Baby Brown's existance.

We called Carrie's mom that night to tell her the big news first! After that, we decided to keep the exciting news to ourselves for a few days... until a birthday gathering for Tim's mom and nephew Trent. We had the idea of giving mom an "I LOVE GRANDMA" bib to share the news. There were lots of gasps of excitement, hugs, and even a few tears.

After this, new started to spread across our famlies. Carrie's Dad and Donna were next on the list. Dad must have said, "Thats great," fifteen or twenty times... He might need a little time to get use to the idea of being a grandpa.
