While Tim and Caylin are making their way home from Arizona, Gavin has enjoyed playing and dancing solo one last evening. Thanks to Toddler Radio on Pandora for providing us with an endless supply of fun tunes.



But, I think he's ready for them to come back!

I need to do a blog post!!!

Ever since the new year, I keep telling Tim, I really need to do a blog post soon... but where is the time? Well, Tim and Caylin are in AZ (we'll talk about that in a bit) and Gavin has been in bed for over 2 hours now. I think I've finally found some time.

Yet again, we had a whirlwind of a Christmas and start to the New Year. I looked back to see what was going on last year, and realized that I never got a chance to blog about last year at that time also. The long and short of this year's Christmas/New Years was a fun and busy time with family! Here are a few pictures:

Part of the "lack of time" I'm sure is due to the fact that I started back to work, full-time, on January 10th. It hasn't been an easy decision and we are not even sure that it is a permanent decision. But, for the rest of this school year, it is what we had to go with. The kids are going to "school" 3 days a week and Gpa/Gma's 2 days. They really like their new school. And, we are pretty impressed with them as well.

Another reason blogging has taken a back seat has been sickness. It feels like this week may be the first that someone in the Brown family has not had some sort of illness since just after Christmas. We've all gone through about 2 rounds with colds, 3 of us had the stomach bug, Caylin had the flu, and Gavin has been battling fevers that we are pretty sure are related to teething. He's getting his eye teeth and the corresponding bottom teeth in all at once.

When Gavin went in for his 15 month check up earlier in February, the doctor said everything looked great. He weighed in at 21.9lbs and measured 29.75in tall. While that seems "bigger" to us (compared to Caylin at his age), that still only falls in the 12th and 13th percentile. Considering the way he tends to pack the food in, we are sooo not worried.

Currently, as I mentioned above, Tim and Caylin are in Arizona to celebrate Grannie Brown's 80th birthday. They left this morning to start their "adventure". We decided not to tell Caylin anything about the events of the day until they arrived at the airport. This was her first airplane ride. From my conversation with them this evening, it seemed to be a rather successful trip. Though, Caylin seemed to get antsy and tired by the end of the flight. I'm sure it will be an early night for her (and for Tim) tonight. They'll be there until Sunday. It should be a great time with some of Tim's extended family.
