Our Lil G is Two Two

So,I'm  just realizing that I never did post pictures from Gavin's 2nd Birthday.  We didn't do anything too planned... just a few family gatherings.  I don't think it bothered him too much.  He had so much fun celebrating with everyone, once he caught on that "open presents" is a fun thing and that the "Happy Birthday Song" leads to cake.  :)    And, if you could tell by the title, there was a very prevalent around this birthday..  Trains.  More specifically, Chuggington (a show on Disney, originating from the UK, for those of you who are not familiar).

The Monday after his birthday, Gavin went in for his 2 year wellness check. Like his big sis, Gavin is far from setting any sort of weight or height records.  He weighed in at about 26 lbs and about 34in, both of which are in the 20-something percentiles.  Which, is on the smaller size for his age, but is significantly bigger than Caylin was at age 2.

We're so happy and blessed to have a fun loving, happy and healthy little guy!  Below you can see some more pictures of Gavin's special day.

Fall Fun and Halloween Trick or Treating

Halloween!

As we did last year, our friends, The Binghams graciously allowed us to join in the festivities in their neighborhood.  We affectionately call it, Hallowings (as in chicken wings for dinner) at Bings.  And, the kids were much more into the excitement than last year.  Just that fact that Gavin wanted to wear his costume was a big start.  He only made it to one house for the trick-or-treating part.  He didn't seem to like the idea of having to put the candy in his bag.  Caylin, on the other hand, made it the length of a street block and back.  Here are some pictures of our little Halloweeners.

Gavin as Brewster from Disney's Chuggington

Caylin as Rapunzel

Lydia (no, she's not ours, but she puts up with Caylin and Gavin quite well) as the Tiger

All three of the kids seemed to have more fun handing out candy to other kids than collecting some for themselves.  Such sweet giving children. :)

Fall Fun!

Earlier in October we took the kids to one of the local farm festivities.  They had tons of fun looking at the animals, playing on the rides and slides, and picking out pumpkins.

Hi bunnies!

Beautiful bug!

It has been a very busy but fun fall, so far. We fully anticipate a busy 2nd half w/ Gavin's Birthday in a few days and a trip to PA for Thanksgiving.
